Jungjinkong Launches On-Site Group Mentoring to Strengthen Support for Rebound Companies

From Mentoring to Networking Among Companies
Strengthening On-Site Customized Support

On May 13, the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (Jungjinkong) announced that it held the "On-Site Jungjinkong Group Mentoring for Business Rebound" at the Korea SMEs and Startups Training Institute in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province. The event brought together more than 60 representatives of rebound companies from the Gyeonggi region and 20 internal and external expert mentors.

The group mentoring program for business rebound is designed to strengthen the capabilities of companies that have experienced business stagnation or failure. The program consists of common education for business recovery (such as case studies on overcoming failure), customized mentoring by field (including marketing, investment attraction, accounting, and labor), and networking among companies. A key feature is the provision of more multifaceted solutions through collaboration not only with Jungjinkong's internal experts but also with external professional mentors.

This year, the program has been expanded by forming customized external expert groups tailored to the industry and characteristics of each company, operating in either a "one-to-many" or "many-to-many" format. In particular, the "many-to-many" format, introduced for the first time this year, has received high satisfaction on-site, as it focuses on practical problem-solving through information sharing among entrepreneurs who share the common experience of business stagnation or failure.

Jungjinkong plans to expand group mentoring to other regions, including Seoul and Daejeon, starting with this pilot operation in the Gyeonggi region. Kim Ilho, Director of Corporate Finance at Jungjinkong, stated, "Since rebound companies have experienced business failure or restructuring, tailored mentoring that reflects the voices from the field is needed, rather than uniform support. Through this group mentoring, not only will entrepreneurs be connected with experts in the fields they need, but networking among companies in similar situations will also open up possibilities for collaboration."
