Gumi City Council Encourages Athletes at Gyeongbuk Provincial Sports Festival: "Raise Gumi's Prestige"

Chairman Park and Council Members Visit Soccer and Athletics Stadiums to Cheer for Athletes

On May 9, Gumi City Council visited the stadium in Gimcheon to encourage the Gumi City athletes participating in the 63rd Gyeongbuk Provincial Sports Festival.

Gumi City Council Chairman KyoSang Park and other council members visited the soccer and athletics stadium to join the cheering and encourage the athletes.

Chairman Park and other city council members visited the Gimcheon Health College soccer field and the Gimcheon Sports Complex, where they met with the athletes and coaching staff participating in the soccer and athletics events. They expressed their appreciation for the athletes' hard work and offered warm encouragement.

Chairman Park stated, "I am proud of every athlete representing Gumi City," and added, "I hope you will do your best and perform to the fullest of your abilities without injury, and that you will enhance the honor of Gumi City through fair and honorable competition."

The council members joined citizens at the stadium to cheer, adding to the excitement of the event. They also promised the city council's continued interest and support so that the athletes can achieve good results in the remaining events.

Meanwhile, Gumi City Council plans to continue providing support for the successful hosting of the '2025 Gumi Asian Athletics Championships,' which will be held from May 27. The council also intends to make ongoing policy efforts to promote the development of regional sports and improve the rights and interests of athletes.
