POSCO Pohang Steelworks is attracting attention by operating special programs to support employees' work-life balance and foster a family-friendly corporate culture.

Since last year, Pohang Steelworks has implemented a biweekly four-day workweek. To help employees spend meaningful time with their families on their Fridays off, the company has planned and operated the "Park1538 Family Day" at Park1538.

Launched in February last year, the "Park1538 Family Day" has continued to receive enthusiastic responses from POSCO and POSCO Group employees and has been held regularly.

In particular, as May is Family Month, the program is scheduled not only for May 9 but also for May 23, providing employees and their families with special memories.

Employees who participated in the program reportedly spent about 100 minutes touring the Park1538 history museum, the promotional hall, and areas inside the steelworks that are not usually accessible, creating unforgettable experiences.

Seung Hwangbo, Deputy General Manager of the Quality Technology Department, who took part in this program, shared, "I created wonderful memories by going on a spring outing to Park1538 with my family on my Friday off. It was an even more meaningful experience because I was able to show my family the steelworks, which they had always been curious about."

Park1538, which POSCO opened in April 2021, is a high-quality cultural space that has been recognized for its excellence at leading domestic and international design awards.
