Jinkyu Kim of Chosun University Receives 'Best Paper Award' from the Korean Association of Trade and Information

Chosun University announced on May 12, 2025, that Jinkyu Kim, Professor in the Department of Trade at the College of Business and Economics, received the Best Paper Award at the 2025 Spring Conference of the Korean Association of Trade and Information. This academic conference was held under the theme "The Role of Digital Trade Norms and e-Business Consulting in the AI Era."

Professor Kim delivered a presentation titled "A Study on the Legal Effect and Implementation Procedures of the Korea-US Free Trade Agreement in the United States," earning the honor of the Best Paper Award. In particular, the timeliness and expertise of his research were highly praised, as it coincided with the period when the America First trade policy of the second Trump administration in the United States was being strengthened.

The Korean Association of Trade and Information, established in 1998, launched its academic journal "Trade and Information Studies" in 1999 and has since established an academic framework in areas such as trade information, trade information systems, electronic documents, and related regulations. The association annually presents the Outstanding Paper Award to researchers who have contributed to the advancement of Korea's trade policy.
