Superton, an artificial intelligence (AI) audio company, announced on May 12 that it will participate in the country's largest cloud technology conference, 'Amazon Web Services (AWS) Summit Seoul.' This marks the first time a domestic AI audio company is taking part in this event.
At the event, Superton will unveil a new AI voice technology as a surprise. This technology, which will enhance convenience in content production, can be seen during the keynote speeches by Werner Vogels, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Amazon, and Deepak Singh, Vice President of Next Generation Developer Experience at AWS.
At the venue, Superton will operate booths where attendees can experience 'Superton Play' and 'Character Chat.' Launched in February, Superton Play is a service that converts text into the voice of a desired character. Character Chat applies conversational AI to some features of Superton Play, and a demo version will be showcased at this event. When users ask questions in text to a virtual character on the screen, the conversational AI generates answers and delivers them in the character's voice. Superton developed these technologies in-house using AWS's fully managed machine learning (ML) service, 'Amazon SageMaker.'
In the 'Experience Live' area, where visitors can experience technology applied in real life, examples of Superton's AI voice technology in action will also be on display. Golfzon's 'My Personal Golf Coach' provides coaching for precise swing analysis and customized posture correction using voices generated by Superton Play. Superton plans to expand the application of its AI audio technology beyond traditional game and content creation into areas such as performances and lifestyle.
An unconventional performance, jointly planned with AWS and AI music startup PozaLabs, is also drawing attention. Songs written and composed by PozaLabs' music-generating AI model will be performed using AI vocals synthesized by Superton's singing synthesis technology. On the first day of the event, a duet stage featuring an AI voice and a general attendee is scheduled to take place.
AWS Summit Seoul will be held on May 14-15 at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul. The event brings together leaders from various industries and IT professionals to showcase and experience the latest technologies and innovations. Marking its 11th anniversary this year, the event will feature more than 110 sessions, participation from over 50 partner companies, and presentations of over 70 customer case studies.
Lee Kyogu, CEO of Superton, stated, "Attendees will be able to experience Superton's technologies and services, developed in collaboration with partners from various industries, at AWS Summit Seoul," adding, "As a company leading the AI audio industry, we will continue to create a variety of innovative use cases."
