Gokseong County in Jeonnam Province, led by County Governor Cho Sangrae, announced on May 12 that it will hold a May event on the public delivery app 'Meokkebi' to support small business owners' delivery services and stimulate consumption.
Since 2022, the county has been offering local small business owners low brokerage fees through the Jeonnam Province public delivery app 'Meokkebi,' while providing users with a variety of discount and free coupons throughout the year.
This year, in particular, to coincide with the upcoming Gokseong World Rose Festival, an additional discount event will be held for Gokseong Meokkebi members until May 31. Users who make purchases of 15,000 won or more through the Meokkebi app will receive a 6,000 won discount coupon. Participation is limited to once per day, and the event may end early if the budget is exhausted.
Starting May 14, payments can be made on the Meokkebi app using the mobile Simcheong Gift Certificate. If users purchase the mobile Simcheong Gift Certificate at a 10% discount and use it together with an additional discount coupon, they will be able to pay just 8,100 won for a 15,000 won purchase.
Governor Cho Sangrae stated, "Compared to large cities, Gokseong faces challenges such as a shortage of delivery personnel and weaker service conditions. As increased use of delivery services is essential for revitalizing the local economy, we will continue to provide various benefits and promote the service so that not only local small business owners but also residents can make good use of the delivery app."
