This meeting was part of the "Large and Small Business Safety and Health Win-Win Cooperation Project" conducted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency. Busan Port Authority is participating in this project and is promoting various support initiatives to improve the safety and health management standards of small and medium-sized enterprises associated with Busan Port. The meeting was attended by six companies from the Sinhang hinterland complex that expressed their intention to participate.

At the meeting, BPA discussed a range of collaborative activities, including consulting for establishing safety and health systems for risk assessment and musculoskeletal disorder prevention, customized safety campaigns for stevedoring sites, and campaigns to foster a port safety culture. BPA plans to implement these programs throughout the year.

In addition, under its safety and health management policy of "eliminating safety blind spots throughout Busan Port" and "enhancing practical preventive measures and response capabilities," BPA is taking the lead in establishing an autonomous safety and health management system based on cooperation with all stakeholders within Busan Port.

Song Sangkeun, President of BPA, stated, "Establishing a safety and health management system in cooperation with small and medium-sized enterprises in port-related industries is a critical task directly linked to port operations," adding, "We will continue to build a safety-oriented port based on trust with various companies within Busan Port."
