Lotte Rental Launches Used Car Brand "T car" to Expand Used Car Business

Online Advertising Campaign Launched

On May 12, Lotte Rental announced that it will officially launch its used car retail (B2C) business by unveiling its used car brand "T car" and rolling out an online advertising campaign.

Lotte Rental introduced the core values of the T car brand as "Trust (reliable used cars)" and "Total Care (used cars with comprehensive aftercare)."

In December of last year, Lotte Rental launched a beta service for used cars on the Lotte Rent-a-Car website. At the same time, it sequentially opened sales centers in Gayang-dong and Bucheon, completing preparations to supply a variety of used cars. The company plans to open additional centers in the Seoul metropolitan area within the first half of the year.

To commemorate the launch of the T car brand, Lotte Rental also unveiled a new advertising campaign. The campaign features two video advertisements that convey the core philosophy of T car: "Setting a new standard in the used car market through trust and total care."

The distinguishing feature of Lotte Rental's used car business is that it only offers vehicles that have been directly managed by Lotte Rent-a-Car. The company plans to supply the market primarily with long-term rental vehicles used by corporate executives or managers, excluding short-term rental vehicles.

The main vehicles for sale are 3-to-4-year-old Hyundai and Kia models, which are highly preferred by consumers. For the first time in the industry, Lotte Rental offers a six-month free warranty for major components such as the engine, transmission, and braking system. In addition, a seven-day money-back guarantee has been introduced, allowing customers to return the vehicle within seven days if they are not satisfied after experiencing it.

A Lotte Rental representative stated, "We are pleased to officially introduce the T car brand, which we have been preparing for a long time since announcing our entry into the used car retail business," and added, "Going forward, we will continue to provide a safer and more pleasant used car purchasing experience by leveraging the vehicle management know-how and platform operation capabilities accumulated by Lotte Rent-a-Car."
