Accumulate 30,000 Miles in the First Year
by Spending Over 1 Million Won Within One Year After Paying the Annual Fee in Full
Shinhan Card announced on May 12 that it has upgraded the 'Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer The Best Shinhan Card' service.
Upon initial issuance, customers receive a welcome gift of 15,000 miles. If they spend a cumulative total of at least 1 million won within one year after paying the annual fee in full, they can accumulate these miles. Adding the existing annual gift of 15,000 miles provided by the card service, customers can accumulate a total of 30,000 miles in the first year after issuance.
Membership tier in KrisFlyer, the Singapore Airlines loyalty program, is granted based on spending performance. Customers who spend a cumulative total of at least 5 million won within the annual fee billing cycle are awarded Silver status, and those who spend at least 20 million won are awarded Gold status. Each tier is linked to the corresponding status in Star Alliance, the world's largest airline alliance.
Additional mileage accumulation benefits are provided. Domestic taxi services and domestic Starbucks have been added to the list of eligible merchants for Additional Accumulation 1. Customers can earn 2.5 miles for every 1,500 won spent at these merchants. For Additional Accumulation 2, 'Kris+' and 'Pelago' have been added to the list of eligible merchants.
The company will also launch the second round of recruitment for the 'Australia Expedition Team.' This fam tour is a collaborative effort between Shinhan Card, Singapore Airlines, Tourism and Events Queensland, and Visit Victoria.
The second round will be open to customers who hold a Singapore Airlines Shinhan Card. Applications are accepted until May 31. Ten winners will be selected.
