The Department of Trade and Distribution at Gwangju University announced on May 10 that it recently conducted an on-site visit to Busan Port Authority and Sunming International Logistics Co., Ltd. as part of the university innovation support project’s entrepreneurship-linked field training program.
After receiving an introduction to the roles and key projects of Busan Port Authority, students observed each stage of the export-import logistics process, including terminal operations, the establishment of global networks, the flow of container logistics and export-import processing procedures, as well as advanced port-related infrastructure and smart logistics systems.
This field visit provided students with hands-on experience in export-import logistics and port operations, strengthening their field-oriented capabilities. It also served as an opportunity to develop problem-solving skills for real-world situations through industry collaboration, and to lay the foundation for cooperation among industry, academia, and government.
A representative from the Department of Trade and Distribution stated, "We will continue to expand programs that connect government, industry, and academia to support the cultivation of talents who possess both expertise and creativity in the field of trade and distribution."
