Sujeokjeong Waterfront Garden Completion Ceremony to Take Place Together

On May 17, the city of Anseong in Gyeonggi Province will host the 10th Geumgwang Lake Moonlight Festival at the Sujeokjeong Waterfront Garden in Geumgwang-myeon, Geumgwang Lake. The festival will also feature a ceremony to commemorate the completion and opening of the waterfront garden, which has just finished construction.

The festival will begin with a 'Gogo Janggu Performance' by the Geumgwang-myeon Residents' Autonomy Club, which won the grand prize at last year's Anseong Residents' Autonomy Best Practices Presentation. The event will offer a variety of hands-on programs, including traditional archery and drone experiences, pottery wheel and natural dyeing demonstrations. Performances by residents' autonomy and citizen clubs will also be available for viewing.

The venue will feature a marketplace for agricultural products, a cultural market, food booths, and food trucks. Various cultural programs for families, such as the 'Moonlight Karaoke' and 'Moonlight Cinema,' will also be available. A canola flower photo zone has been created in the waterfront garden.

An event official stated, "This year's festival is organized with a variety of programs that citizens of all ages can enjoy," adding, "We hope that through this event, the waterfront garden will become a new local landmark."
