NHIS Busan Ulsan Gyeongnam Headquarters Holds University Student Health Supporters Launch Ceremony and Declares Support for Tobacco Lawsuit

The National Health Insurance Service Busan Ulsan Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters (Director Cho Junhee) held the "University Student Health Supporters Launch Ceremony" and the "Tobacco Lawsuit Support Resolution Rally" at the headquarters' main auditorium on May 8, aiming to promote healthy practices among the younger generation and to broaden public consensus.

The event was organized both to commemorate the official launch of the Health Supporters, who will encourage healthy lifestyles and promote major policies of the organization, and to express support for the ongoing tobacco lawsuit.

The "University Student Health Supporters" group consists of 79 university students from the Busan area, and over the next eight months, they will engage in a variety of activities, including promoting the national health insurance system, planning campaigns for smoking cessation, moderation in drinking, and addiction prevention, as well as creating content for social media.

Immediately following the launch ceremony, the "Tobacco Lawsuit Support Resolution Rally" was held, during which all supporters and participants expressed their support for the tobacco lawsuit, emphasizing the importance of protecting public health and holding tobacco companies accountable.

Cho Junhee, the director of the headquarters, stated, "I expect the supporters to play a creative and passionate role in spreading a culture of health and promoting our policies," adding, "They will also be a great force in raising awareness of the legitimacy of the tobacco lawsuit."
