Dongbang Medical is showing strong performance. This is interpreted as being influenced by the news that Lee Jaemyung, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party, held a policy agreement ceremony with the Association of Korean Medicine.

The previous day, the Democratic Party held a livelihood policy agreement ceremony with the Central Election Countermeasures Committee’s Occupational Headquarters and met with over 200 occupational organizations to sign policy agreements on livelihood issues.

Among healthcare occupational organizations, the Korean Medical Association, the Korean Dental Association, the Korean Nurses Association, and the Korean Pharmaceutical Association participated. The Association of Korean Medicine, led by President Yoon Sungchan and its executive team, also attended and proposed five policy tasks to the Democratic Party. The Democratic Party promised to adopt these as joint presidential election policies.

On that day, the Association of Korean Medicine urged the Democratic Party to actively pursue measures to utilize Korean medicine doctors and Korean medicine in strengthening primary care and expanding integrated care services, so that everyone in the country can safely and conveniently access medical services in their daily lives.

Accordingly, the Democratic Party decided to continuously expand the coverage of Korean medicine within the national health insurance to guarantee the public’s right to health, and to cooperate on policy and institutional measures to increase access to Korean medicine treatments for major chronic and geriatric diseases.
