In addition, the team provides legal support for civil and criminal issues such as assaults against firefighters that occur during field operations.
At the discussion meeting, participants shared the team's operational achievements to date and discussed practical response measures for legal issues arising in the field, the advancement of the legal advisory system using artificial intelligence (AI), and ways to ensure the legality of administrative actions.
Jaebyung Kim, Director of the Fire and Disaster Headquarters, stated, "The role of legal support will inevitably become more important in reducing confusion at the scene and protecting the rights and interests of firefighters," adding, "We will spare no effort to provide effective support, such as expanding on-site consultations and case-based legal education, in order to enhance the professionalism and credibility of our fire service."
