This collaboration is part of a special project commemorating the 30th anniversary of SM Entertainment's founding. The concert will take place at Dignity Health Sports Park in Los Angeles, United States, at 6:00 p.m. (local time) on the 11th. Leading SM Entertainment artists, including aespa, NCT 127, RIIZE, TVXQ, Super Junior, SHINee (Key, Minho), EXO (Suho, Chanyeol, Kai), Red Velvet (Irene, Seulgi, Joy), NCT Dream, and NCT Wish, will all perform. New songs by NCT Wish and Kai are also scheduled to be performed.
After exclusively broadcasting the concert live in 18 countries, Samsung TV Plus plans to offer an exclusive replay service for six months in 14 countries. Through this initiative, Samsung Electronics aims to further establish itself as a global provider of K-content.
Last month, Samsung Electronics entered into a partnership with SM Entertainment and launched the industry’s first SMTOWN channel.
Kim Yongsoo, Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics’ Visual Display Business Division, said, “Through this collaboration, we are able to deliver the appeal of K-content to even more viewers around the world, leveraging the technological capabilities of Samsung TV Plus,” and added, “This will serve as an opportunity to further expand access to premium Korean content.”
Samsung TV Plus is currently available on more than 630 million active devices across 30 countries, offering over 4,000 hours of K-drama, K-pop, and other content free of charge.
