Yoon to Appear at 'Insurrection Trial' on the 12th via Ground-Level Entrance

Seoul High Court Decides: "Entrance and Exit to Be Through the West Building Entrance"

Former President Yoon Seokyoul will appear in court via a ground-level entrance to stand trial on charges of leading an insurrection. Until now, Yoon had entered the courtroom through the underground parking lot in accordance with the court's decision.

On May 8, the Seoul High Court (Chief Judge Kim Daeung), which is in charge of managing the Seoul Court Complex, announced, "In relation to the trial scheduled for the 12th, the defendant (former President Yoon) will enter and exit the court through the ground-level entrance on the west side of the Seoul Court Complex."


A court official explained, "This decision was made by the Chief Administrator of the Seoul High Court, based on a comprehensive consideration of various factors, including the situation around the courthouse on the trial date and matters discussed at meetings attended by key officials from the Seoul High Court and the Seoul Central District Court."


In previous hearings, former President Yoon appeared in court via the underground parking lot in accordance with the court's decision.
