On May 8, Osan City announced that it held an opening ceremony for the 5104 express bus near Saema Station and that official operations will commence on May 9.

The new route starts from Segyo 2 District, passes through Segyo 1 District, Saema Station, and Bukosan IC, then travels via the expressway to Seoul Station. In Seoul, it connects major central locations such as Euljiro Entrance, Seoul Station, Namdaemun Market, and the Express Bus Terminal.

Six vehicles will be deployed on the route, providing 24 round trips per day on weekdays. During morning rush hours, buses will run at approximately 30-minute intervals, and at 50 to 60-minute intervals during other times. The one-way travel time is 80 to 100 minutes.

This route was established as part of the 'quasi-public operation system for metropolitan buses' promoted by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport. Osan City had proposed the introduction of the route to the Commission since 2023, and the route was finally approved by the Route Selection Review Committee in June last year.

At the opening ceremony, Osan Mayor Lee Gwonjae stated, "The launch of this route is a meaningful step toward substantially improving citizens' transportation rights," and added, "We will continue to do our best to improve transportation so that commuters can feel real changes in their daily journeys."
