"Zero-Emission Vehicle Transition Brand" Contest
Plans to Install 24 Additional EV Chargers
Focus on Expanding Infrastructure for Transportation-Vulnerable Citizens
On May 8, the city of Anseong, Gyeonggi Province, announced plans to expand electric vehicle charging infrastructure by installing 24 additional chargers at the Anseong Second General Industrial Complex public parking lot and the Suseokjeong parking lot in Geumgwang-myeon.
This installation project follows Anseong's selection for the "2025 Zero-Emission Vehicle Transition Brand Contest Project" organized by the Ministry of Environment.
At the Anseong Second General Industrial Complex public parking lot, a total of 15 chargers will be installed, including 12 slow chargers and 3 fast chargers. At the Suseokjeong parking lot, 9 chargers are planned, consisting of 7 slow chargers and 2 fast chargers designed for transportation-vulnerable users.
The city explained that, as a result of being selected for this contest, all chargers will be installed and operated with full funding from the national government and private capital. A representative from the Anseong city government stated, "With this selection, we plan to build an electric vehicle charging infrastructure focused on transportation-vulnerable citizens so that everyone can use it conveniently," adding, "We will continue to take the lead in achieving carbon neutrality by expanding charging infrastructure and the supply of eco-friendly vehicles."
