Achasan to Han River... Gwangjin District Operates "Let's Walk Together! Gwangjin Dullegil" Program

Gwangjin District (District Mayor Kim Kyungho) will continue to operate the "Let's Walk Together! Gwangjin Dullegil" program this year to help residents develop healthy lifestyle habits and to promote a culture of walking.

The district has organized this program with the aim of providing opportunities for residents to practice walking in their daily lives and to establish a walking culture within the local community.

"Let's Walk Together! Gwangjin Dullegil" consists of four walking courses, each with a different theme, in areas that are ideal for walking: ▲ Course 1 Jayang Area (April) ▲ Course 2 Guui and Gwangjang Area (May) ▲ Course 3 Gunja and Neungdong Area (September) ▲ Course 4 Junggok Area (October).

In Course 1, which took place in April, residents enjoyed an energetic walk by swinging their arms with a small tool called "smoovy." Participants expressed their satisfaction, saying, "I used to get tired quickly when walking alone, but walking together helped me finish the course."

On May 30, Course 2 will be held in the Guui and Gwangjang area. Starting at 10:30 a.m. from Exit 3 of Jayang Station, participants will walk approximately 5.4 kilometers, passing Jamsil Bridge and Olympic Bridge before reaching Gwangjin Bridge. The walk is expected to take about 1 hour and 30 minutes. By walking and running at a moderate or higher intensity along the beautiful Han River, participants will be able to maximize the aerobic exercise effect.

Gwangjin Dullegil Course 2 is open to 40 Gwangjin residents. Those interested in participating should contact the Exercise Education Office at Gwangjin District Health Center.

Kim Kyungho, Mayor of Gwangjin District, said, "Gwangjin District offers great environments for walking, such as Achasan Mountain, the Han River, and Children's Grand Park. We will continue to develop various programs so that residents can enjoy walking as part of their daily lives."
