Jangheung County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Kim Sung) has been selected as an excellent institution in the '2025 First Quarter Fiscal Execution Evaluation' organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, securing a special grant of 40 million won and achieving two awards.
According to the county on May 8, it was also selected as the top institution in last month's Jeollanam-do fiscal execution evaluation, receiving a project incentive of 20 million won.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety's fiscal execution evaluation is conducted for all 243 local governments. The evaluation classifies them into five groups with similar fiscal management structures, then assesses their performance against targets and awards additional points for early achievement of goals, selecting the best and excellent cities and counties.
This achievement is the result of holding frequent proactive execution briefings led by the governor and vice governor to continuously monitor project progress and establish active fiscal execution measures.
Governor Kim Sung stated, "We will continue to do our best to revitalize the stagnant local economy through prompt fiscal execution, so that the residents can truly feel the results of regional revitalization."
