Order Backlog Reaches 22.883 Trillion Won
Up 14.1% Compared to End of Last Year
LIG Nex1, a defense company specializing in guided weapons, announced in a regulatory filing on May 8, 2025, that its consolidated operating profit for the first quarter was provisionally tallied at 113.6 billion won, marking a 69.6% increase compared to the same period last year. Revenue rose by 18.9% year-on-year to 97.6 billion won, while net profit grew by 36.7% to 82.8 billion won.
LIG Nex1 stated that it achieved strong results thanks to increased domestic mass production projects for guided weapons such as the Cheongung-II medium-range surface-to-air missile system and the Hyeongung infantry medium-range guided weapon, as well as surveillance and reconnaissance, avionics, and electronic warfare systems. In the first quarter, domestic sales accounted for 82.3% of total revenue, while exports made up 17.7%. The order backlog stood at 22.883 trillion won, up 14.1% (2.8299 trillion won) from the end of last year.
LIG Nex1 announced its intention to continuously strengthen its growth foundation, focusing on integrated air defense networks, manned-unmanned teaming, and export expansion. To this end, the company presented three major future innovation directions: realizing the 'K-Air Defense Network' belt connecting North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia; advancing manned-unmanned integrated solutions across land, sea, and air; and expanding its export markets.
In January, LIG Nex1 opened the 'LIG Nex1 2nd Pangyo House', an advanced research and development (R&D) and testing facility on a 57,210 square meter site. The company also plans to complete the Daejeon House Satellite System Integration and Testing Center, optimized for the future space industry, within the first half of this year.
A representative from LIG Nex1 stated, "We will continue to strengthen our sustainable growth engines by expanding future and new businesses and pioneering overseas markets."
