Individuals Urged to File by June 2
Yeongdeok County announced that individuals with comprehensive income attributable to 2024 must file their individual local income tax returns by June 2, 2025.
Taxpayers can choose to file in person, by paper submission, or electronically. In particular, after filing the comprehensive income tax return via Hometax, they can be linked to WETAX to electronically file the individual local income tax at the same time.
Small business owners, residential lease income earners, and freelancers (those with personal service income) will receive a pre-filled tax return notice from the National Tax Service. If there are no corrections to the information in the notice, simply paying the amount to the specified virtual account will complete the filing process.
Among those filing individual local income tax returns in 2025, those affected by wildfires in Yeongdeok County will have their payment deadline automatically extended by three months without a separate application. However, this measure only applies to the payment deadline; the filing deadline remains June 2.
For related inquiries, please refer to the notices on the WETAX website or contact the Finance Division of the Yeongdeok County Office.
