Overseas Sales Soar 186%... APR Achieves Record-High Q1 Performance

According to the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system on May 8, APR's provisional sales for the first quarter reached 266 billion KRW, a 79% increase compared to the same period last year. This surpassed the previous record for highest quarterly sales (244.2 billion KRW in Q4 2024). Operating profit was 54.6 billion KRW, a 97% increase over the same period. Net profit for the period rose by 107% to 49.9 billion KRW. The operating margin stood at 20.5%.

By business segment, robust growth in the core areas of cosmetics and beauty devices led the overall performance. The cosmetics division, riding the global popularity of K-beauty, posted explosive growth with sales of 165 billion KRW, a 152% increase year-on-year.

Flagship beauty brand Medicube's popular products, such as the 'Zero Pore Pad' and 'Collagen Skincare' line, attracted significant attention in Western markets and achieved strong sales.

The beauty device segment recorded sales of 90.9 billion KRW, showing a 36% growth rate compared to the same period last year and maintaining strong momentum. Products such as the globally popular 'Booster Pro', 'Ultratune 40.68', and 'Hifocus Shot' gained popularity. Limited edition products, such as the 'Booster Pro Kuromi Edition' and 'Booster Pro Mini Chunsiki Edition', which were collaborations with well-known characters, also received positive responses by increasing collectible value. APR has been solidifying its market dominance in the beauty device sector based on its dedicated R&D organization and in-house production facilities.

By region, overseas sales grew significantly. APR's overseas sales in the first quarter nearly reached 190 billion KRW, a 186% increase compared to the same period last year, far surpassing its overseas sales performance for the entire first half of last year. The proportion of overseas sales also rose to 71%. APR has been making aggressive moves in the US market, successfully launching outdoor advertisements in New York's Times Square and attracting thousands of visitors to its LA pop-up store. The company also showed solid growth in Japan and Greater China, while diversifying its global sales channels in regions such as Europe and the Middle East.

APR plans to expand its sales channels in the US and Japan, while broadening customer touchpoints across the rest of the global market. In addition to launching new cosmetics products that reflect current trends, the company will continue to expand into new beauty device and healthcare areas.

An APR representative stated, "With this surprise first-quarter performance, we were able to confirm both the positive momentum in the beauty industry and APR's business competitiveness," adding, "We will continue to strive for rapid growth, focusing on cosmetics, beauty devices, and overseas markets."
