Chairman Bae Byungil of Korea Scholarship Foundation: "Ethical Standards Must Be Stricter as Advanced Technologies Increase"... Ethics and Human Rights Management Declaration Ceremony

The Korea Scholarship Foundation (Chairman Bae Byungil) held an "Ethics and Human Rights Management Declaration Ceremony" on May 7 in the main auditorium of its headquarters, attended by Chairman Bae Byungil and approximately 200 executives and staff members. During the event, the foundation pledged to uphold fairness and transparency, human rights and integrity, and ethical responsibility in the age of artificial intelligence (AI).


This declaration ceremony was organized to publicly affirm the foundation's commitment to ethical management, fulfilling its social responsibilities as a public institution and striving to become a student financial aid organization trusted by the public.

In particular, starting this year, the foundation plans to introduce "AI Ethics Management Guidelines" in line with the expanded adoption of AI-based operations. It will apply AI ethical principles organization-wide, including personal data protection and ensuring transparency in AI.


Chairman Bae Byungil stated, "As the adoption of advanced technologies, including AI, increases, the ethical standards for public institutions must become even stricter. The Korea Scholarship Foundation will continue to practice people-centered ethical management as a fair and transparent student financial aid organization that the public can trust."


Going forward, the Korea Scholarship Foundation will continue to implement various ethical management programs, including regular training to strengthen integrity among all executives and employees, advancement of internal control systems, and campaigns to improve organizational culture.
