Korea Capital, a specialized credit finance company, has contributed to raising social awareness regarding population issues.
On May 8, Korea Capital announced that CEO Jung Sangcheol participated in the "Relay Campaign to Improve Awareness of Population Issues," which is jointly organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the National Human Resources Development Institute for Health and Welfare.
This campaign has been conducted in a relay format, where each participant designates the next, in order to foster public consensus on issues such as population decline and aging, and to increase interest in addressing population challenges.
After being nominated by Jeong Jaegwan, Chairman of the Military Mutual Aid Association, CEO Jung Sangcheol designated Oh Hwakyung, Chairman of the Korea Federation of Savings Banks, and Kim Jongyun, CEO of NICE Information Service, as the next participants.
CEO Jung Sangcheol stated, "For a sustainable future, deep empathy and interest in population issues are essential. I hope this relay campaign becomes an opportunity for all members of our society to unite in addressing population challenges," and added, "Korea Capital will also continue its efforts to overcome low birth rates and to create a work environment that is friendly to child-rearing."
Korea Capital is currently implementing a variety of welfare programs to foster a family-friendly corporate culture, including flexible working hours for childbirth and childcare, support for childcare facilities and children's tuition, and the provision of congratulatory payments for childbirth to employees and their spouses.
