K3i Develops Platform Integrated with NVIDIA Omniverse

K3i announced on May 8 that it has begun development of its proprietary platform, 'Neuro Twin X', which is integrated with NVIDIA's industrial artificial intelligence (AI) operating system 'Omniverse', based on its existing 3D implementation and simulation technologies. K3i plans to expand the application of its technology to a variety of industries, including manufacturing, construction, and logistics, starting with the launch of this platform.

Through 'Neuro Twin X', K3i aims to establish its own industrial metaverse infrastructure. Omniverse is a real-time collaboration and simulation platform where XR (extended reality), metaverse, and digital twin technologies interact. Unlike content-focused XR solutions, it is specifically designed for simulation implementations in industrial and enterprise settings.

K3i possesses core technologies necessary for platform implementation. In 2012, the company developed Korea’s first proprietary XR engine, followed by the industry’s only XR middleware solution in 2020 and a digital twin city solution in 2023. Leveraging these diverse proprietary technologies, K3i has provided XR services to global conglomerates and the Ministry of Employment and Labor, successfully advancing and diversifying not only its 3D background implementation technology but also its simulation technology based on physics engines.

A K3i representative stated, "Building on our 3D technology, we have secured stable results in our core XR business. Now, as a new growth engine, we are developing Neuro Twin X to realize an AI-based industrial metaverse infrastructure. Centered around our proprietary platform, we will move beyond our existing content production-focused business to establish a platform-based revenue model, maximizing both revenue and profit."

He added, "Having completed the advancement of our 3D implementation and simulation technologies through supply references to global corporations and government agencies, we expect to develop the platform rapidly. In addition to supplying to domestic conglomerates by leveraging our existing references, we also plan to pursue overseas exports by maximizing compatibility with global standards."

Recently, many global companies have been integrating NVIDIA’s Omniverse to enhance work efficiency and enable real-time response. BMW connected its factory data to Omniverse to implement digital twins across production lines at its factories worldwide. Siemens simulated entire factory processes by linking Omniverse with its automation systems. Adobe also directly connected its 3D tools to Omniverse, establishing a real-time design application workflow.
