The special exhibition is a collaboration between the National Baekdudaegan Arboretum and Seoul Botanic Park. The exhibition was organized to raise public awareness about the importance of protecting high-altitude coniferous trees, whose populations are declining worldwide, and to share the value of conserving species threatened by climate change and habitat destruction with the public.
At the 'Coniferous Tree Garden' set up in the outdoor exhibition area of Seoul Botanic Park, visitors can see endangered coniferous trees native to Korea all in one place.
Lee Gyumyeong, Director of the National Baekdudaegan Arboretum, said, "The special exhibition was prepared to encourage the public to take an interest in the conservation of endangered coniferous trees and other plants," and added, "The National Baekdudaegan Arboretum plans to continue plant conservation activities in cooperation with various organizations in the future."
