Binggrae Raises Prices of Fermented Milk Products... Yoplait Up 5.3%

On May 8, Binggrae announced that it will raise the prices of its fermented milk products, including Yoplait and Dr. Capsule.

Based on the factory price, Yoplait Original Multi-pack (4 units) will increase by 5.3%, and Dr. Capsule will increase by 4.0%. As a result, the retail price of Yoplait Original Multi-pack (4 units) is expected to rise from 3,780 won to 3,980 won. Binggrae plans to implement the price increases sequentially starting at the end of May, following consultations with distribution channels.

Binggrae explained, "The prices of key raw materials for the products subject to this price increase have continued to rise, increasing our burden." The company also cited growing cost pressures from higher labor and energy costs as reasons for the price hike.
