Thorough Inspection from Event Booths to Evacuation Routes
Doing Our Best for a Safe Festival
Hamyang County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on May 8 that it had conducted a final inspection of the venue for the 64th Cheollyeong Cultural Festival, which will take place in the Sangnim Park area.
This inspection was a preemptive measure to prevent safety accidents and ensure convenience for visitors during the five-day Cheollyeong Cultural Festival, which will be held from May 8 to May 12. The purpose was to identify and address any shortcomings at the venue in advance.
County Governor Jin Byungyoung is conducting a final inspection at the venue of the 64th Cheollyeong Cultural Festival.
On the day of the inspection, around 20 people?including County Governor Jin Byungyoung, department heads, related officials, and members of the Cheollyeong Cultural Festival Committee?participated in a thorough review along the main routes of the venue. They meticulously checked key areas such as the general information center, experience booths, special stage, agricultural and specialty product sales area, food market, exhibition booths, children's play facilities, photo zones, and the night market.
In particular, with rain forecast during the festival period, the county focused on not only improving the surrounding environment but also prioritizing visitor safety. The team carefully inspected main movement paths, evacuation routes, vehicle flow, and areas vulnerable to safety risks, placing special emphasis on addressing any deficiencies.
County Governor Jin Byungyoung stated, "We are doing our utmost to ensure safety management so that both residents and tourists can enjoy the festival with peace of mind," adding, "We will make every effort until the end to ensure that the Cheollyeong Cultural Festival, Hamyang County's representative cultural and artistic event, is held successfully."
Meanwhile, Hamyang County plans to deploy safety personnel on-site at all times during the festival and maintain an emergency response system to minimize inconvenience for visitors and ensure the smooth operation of the event.
