The International e-Mobility Expo Organizing Committee announced on May 7 that it had signed a memorandum of understanding with the Jeju Drone Industry Association to foster a sustainable industrial ecosystem in the drone sector, promote information exchange, and ensure the success of the Expo.
This collaboration was established with the aim of combining the resources and technical expertise of both organizations to advance new technologies in the drone field, discover sustainable business models, and lead future strategic industries through the convergence of drone and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. The signing ceremony was attended by Daehwan Kim, Co-Chairman of the International e-Mobility Expo, Kwanghee Ahn, President of the Jeju Drone Industry Association, Byungwoo Yang, Vice Chairman of the Jeju Provincial Council, Byungseon Lee, CEO of the Jeju Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, and Changhoon Lim, Secretary General of the International e-Mobility Expo.
Under the agreement, the two organizations will cooperate to jointly develop related industries such as drones and e-mobility, facilitate technology exchange, collaborate on research materials, expand mutual cooperation programs including exhibitions, seminars, forums, and competitions in the drone sector, and jointly develop educational and cultural content.

Kwanghee Ahn, President of the Jeju Drone Industry Association, stated, "Through this International e-Mobility Expo, we aim to visibly create an effect where the development of one sector generates synergy in others by establishing a sustainable industrial ecosystem utilizing drones in tourism, agriculture, safety, culture, sports, and education."
The 12th International e-Mobility Expo, scheduled for July, will be held under the slogan "Realizing Carbon Neutral Jeju 2035," with participation from approximately 150 mobility-related companies from around the world. The conference will feature 50 sessions with participants from 30 countries. The International Eco-Friendly Ship Expo, the 10th World e-Mobility Council and General Assembly, the 4th International University Student EV Autonomous Driving Competition, and the 2nd International AI Drone Competition will also be held concurrently.
