Hollywood actor Tom Cruise visited South Korea for the first time in two years to meet his fans. He arrived on a private jet at Gimpo International Airport on the afternoon of May 7, 2025. Fans waiting outside the airport cheered in unison and asked for his autograph. Cruise greeted them with a bright smile, took out a pen, and signed autographs. He also took selfies using fans' mobile phones when asked for photos. After spending about 20 minutes with his fans, he got into a waiting car and left the airport.

Cruise came to Korea to promote the film "Mission: Impossible - Final Reckoning," which is set to premiere on May 17, 2025. This marks his twelfth visit to Korea, the most among Hollywood actors. Since the release of "Interview with the Vampire" in 1994, Cruise has consistently visited Korea, including for the 2023 release of "Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning." He has moved Korean fans with his exceptional fan service, earning the nickname "Kind Uncle Tom."


On May 8, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., Cruise will attend a press conference at Lotte Cinema World Tower. Director Christopher McQuarrie and actors Hayley Atwell, Simon Pegg, Pom Klementieff, and Greg Tarzan Davis will also be present. Later that day, at 5:00 p.m., he will participate in a red carpet event at the Lotte World Ice Rink.
