Face-to-face Survey of About 900 Residents
To Be Used as Basic Data for Health Policy Development
Damyang County in South Jeolla Province (Governor Jeong Cheolwon) announced on May 7 that it will conduct the "2025 Community Health Survey" from May 16 to July 31 to compile local health statistics.
The "Community Health Survey" has been conducted annually since 2008 in collaboration with the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency to assess the health status of county residents and to implement region-specific public health projects. This year, the survey will target approximately 900 adults aged 19 or older who have been selected as sample households.
Professional surveyors will visit the selected households in person and conduct one-on-one interviews using tablet PCs. The survey consists of 169 questions across 19 categories, covering health behaviors such as smoking, drinking, physical activity, and obesity, as well as the prevalence of chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes.
The data collected through this survey will be used to analyze the health status of Damyang County residents and will serve as a valuable resource for establishing future local health policies and developing health promotion programs.
A county official stated, "We ask for the active participation of residents selected as sample households to ensure the accurate calculation of local health indicators," and added, "Please be assured that all personal information will be strictly protected in accordance with the Statistics Act throughout the survey process."
