Osan City Urges Applications for "Enrollment Congratulations Grant" for Elementary Students

Osan City in Gyeonggi Province will begin accepting applications for the "Enrollment Congratulations Grant" for new elementary school students starting from May 12.

The eligible recipients are children who entered elementary school in March of this year and have maintained their resident registration in Osan City from the date of enrollment until the application date. Guardians can apply online via the "Government24" platform or in person at the local administrative welfare center corresponding to their residence.

The grant amount is 100,000 KRW per student and will be provided in the form of the local currency, "Osaekjeon." It can be used at designated businesses such as bookstores, stationery stores, opticians, clothing shops, shoe stores, and bag shops. The grant is valid until December 31.

An Osan City official stated, "This Enrollment Congratulations Grant is part of universal educational welfare to ensure every child can start on equal footing," adding, "We will implement this program with great care so that both children and parents can receive tangible benefits."
