Grand Prize of 30 Million Won, Applications Open Until May 23
Preliminary Rounds in July, Finals at Central City in September
On May 7, Dongseo Food announced that it will host the 2025 Canoe Barista Championship and is now accepting applications for participants.
Marking its second year, the Canoe Barista Championship is a specialty coffee competition designed to showcase the expertise of the Canoe brand, which offers a wide range of products including brewed coffee, capsule coffee, and instant coffee. The event aims to contribute to the development of coffee culture in Korea.

The Canoe Barista Championship is accepting applications through the Canoe Paddle application until May 23. Any Korean citizen aged 18 or older is eligible to participate.
The preliminary rounds will be held over five days from July 14 to July 18 at the Maxim Plant in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Contestants will be judged in the espresso and Americano categories, and finalists will be selected. The finals are scheduled to take place on September 27 and 28 at the Central City Open Stage in the Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam branch.
Judging will be conducted by coffee experts, including Um Boram, the winner of the 2023 World Barista Championship (WBC). The overall winner will receive a trophy and a prize of 30 million won, the runner-up will receive 10 million won, and the third-place winner will receive 5 million won, along with trophies for each.
