Chosun University announced on May 7 that the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation Dental Industry Advancement Support Center recently held the '2025 Dental Medical Industry Development Collaborative Workshop' at the main conference room of the Forest Business Center, Jeonnam Forest Resources Research Institute.
More than 30 participants attended the event, including representatives from Chosun University, Gwangju Technopark, Gwangju Health University, which co-hosted the event, as well as officials from the Jeonnam Forest Resources Research Institute and beneficiary companies from the local dental medical industry.
The workshop was organized as part of the 'Smart Specialization Infrastructure Building Project' supported by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and Gwangju City. Its goal was to establish an organic collaborative system among beneficiary companies of the 'Clinical Verification-Linked Dental Medical Materials and Components Industry Advancement Project' and related organizations.
During the workshop, the following sessions were held: guidance on the 2025 corporate support project agreements and implementation, plans for developing the dental medical industry through strengthened networking, and a special lecture on natural product development and material efficacy testing. Participants sought practical cooperation measures through mutual exchanges.
The network established through this workshop is expected to serve as a foundation for ongoing collaboration to strengthen the dental materials industry ecosystem in the future.
Son Mikyung, head of the Chosun University Dental Industry Advancement Support Center, stated, "We will continue to do our best to ensure the sustainable growth of the dental industry and revitalize the local industrial ecosystem through field-oriented customized support and strengthened networking."
