Starting from May 7, the city will provide support for card fees of up to 500,000 won to small businesses with annual sales of 100 million won or less.

This program offers differentiated support ranging from a minimum of 50,000 won to a maximum of 500,000 won, based on 0.5% of the previous year's card sales. If an individual operates multiple businesses, they may apply separately for each business location.

Applications can be submitted online (haengbokcard.kr), at the Gumi Office of the Gyeongbuk Economic Promotion Agency, or at administrative welfare centers in each township, town, and neighborhood. Required documents include a business registration certificate and a copy of the bank account. For in-person applications, additional forms provided on-site must also be completed.

This program will be operated on a first-come, first-served basis until the budget is exhausted. Those who closed their business before January 1, 2025, unregistered businesses, and those engaged in certain industries such as entertainment and gambling are excluded from eligibility.

A city official stated, "Last year, we supported card fees for approximately 7,700 businesses, which was well received," and added, "We hope this year's practical support will also help stabilize the management of small businesses."

Kim Jangho, Mayor of Gumi, said, "We will continue to develop and promote effective policies that reflect the voices of local small business owners," and expressed, "I hope this card fee support program will serve as an opportunity to invigorate the local economy."

For more details, please contact the card fee on-site application center at the Gyeongbuk Economic Promotion Agency or the Job and Economy Division at Gumi City Hall.
