Previously, the Gangnam District Office filed a complaint with the police after receiving a report that Theborn Korea used Vietnamese shrimp in its "Deopjuk" product but used phrases such as "domestic" and "wild-caught" in advertisements, thereby including false information.

The police are also looking into allegations that "Paikdabang," operated by CEO Baek, promoted its new "Chewy Sweet Potato Bread" in a way that misled consumers into believing the ingredients were of domestic origin.

In addition, the police are investigating suspicions that Theborn Korea used cooking utensils made of industrial metal at a local festival but misrepresented them as being made of food-grade metal.
