Celebrating its 30th anniversary of entering the cultural business this year, CJ ENM plans to provide a wide range of content IPs?from existing popular dramas to new series?to viewers around the world through Amazon Prime Video, a leading global OTT platform with approximately 200 million subscribers.
Representatives from both companies formalized their collaboration at the 'WAVES 2025 Global Games and Entertainment Summit' held in India on May 3. WAVES 2025 is a world-renowned summit hosted by the National Film Development Corporation, supported by India's Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and industry associations in the media and entertainment sector.
Through this agreement, Amazon Prime Video will exclusively offer major dramas produced by Studio Dragon and CJ ENM Studios, including 'Gyunuwa Seonnyeo' starring Chu Youngwoo and Jo Hyun, which will air on tvN next month, as well as 'Another Miss Oh,' 'Her Private Life,' and 'Mouse.' These titles will be made available to viewers in 240 regions worldwide, excluding Korea and China, with subtitles in 28 languages and dubbing in 11 languages.
CJ ENM dramas have demonstrated their content competitiveness by achieving strong results on Amazon Prime Video last year. 'Marry My Husband' and 'Not Others' ranked as the 7th and 8th most-watched non-English titles on Amazon Prime Video globally in 2024.
Gaurav Gandhi, Vice President of Asia Pacific and Middle East-North Africa at Amazon Prime Video, stated, "We are delighted to bring Korea's impressive stories to audiences around the world through our platform, which aims to be the number one entertainment hub."
Seo Jangho, Head of Content Distribution Business at CJ ENM, emphasized, "Collaborating with Amazon, which has a powerful content distribution network, will allow diverse global audiences to enjoy CJ ENM's unique content and further strengthen our global presence."
