Refrigerators Top in 7 Countries, Washing Machines in 6 Countries
Recently, LG Electronics' refrigerators and washing machines have ranked highly in consumer media evaluations in regions such as North America and Europe.
According to LG Electronics on May 5, in recent evaluations of home appliances by overseas nonprofit consumer media, LG refrigerators ranked first in 12 evaluations across 7 countries, while LG washing machines ranked first in 8 evaluations across 6 countries. These results are significant as the evaluations were conducted in various countries around the world, including North America and Europe, where the premium home appliance market is large.
For refrigerators, a wide range of product types?including top-freezer bottom-freezer, side-by-side, and French door models?consistently ranked among the top. In particular, the top-freezer bottom-freezer refrigerator took first place in a total of 7 countries: the United States, Italy, Portugal, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Australia.
The American consumer media outlet Consumer Reports awarded the LG Electronics French Door Refrigerator a perfect score of 5 out of 5 for both temperature control and temperature uniformity, ranking it first overall. Sweden's R?d & R?n also rated the LG Electronics top-freezer bottom-freezer refrigerator highly for its refrigeration and freezing performance, as well as its energy efficiency, naming it a joint winner for first place.
In the washing machine category, LG Electronics stood out in both front-load and top-load models. Portugal's consumer media Deco Proteste placed LG front-load washing machines in all of the top five positions, while Australia's Choice recognized the washing performance of LG's top-load washing machine, awarding it first place.
In Consumer Reports' "Best Top-Load Washing Machines" category, LG products swept the rankings from first to seventh place. Notably, in Consumer Reports' April survey of "Most Trusted Washing Machine Brands," LG Electronics ranked first in all categories: front-load washing machines, top-load washing machines, and compact washing machines (24 inches or less). Consumer Reports commented, "LG washing machines are the only brand to receive the highest rating for reliability."
In addition, major media outlets around the world have given high marks to LG Electronics' home appliances. The American weekly news magazine TIME selected LG Electronics refrigerators and washing machines as number one in their respective categories in the "2024 Best Brands in India."
Wirecutter, a review section under The New York Times, also named both the top-freezer bottom-freezer and French door models as the best refrigerators in its evaluation this year. Last year, the American business magazine Forbes selected the LG front-load washing machine as the best washing machine, praising it for its convenience and gentle care for all types of laundry.
