Daegu Dalseo District (District Mayor Lee Taehun) announced on May 5 that it has launched the upgraded version of its local signature bread brand, "Dalseogu Seonsashidae-ro Tokippang (Daltogi Bread)"?the "2nd Generation Daltogi Bread." To commemorate the launch, a variety of consumer events will also be held.
Daltogi Bread is a brand developed in connection with Dalseo District's historical content, which features Daegu's first and only prehistoric site dating back 20,000 years. Sales began in March 2022 in collaboration with the Daegu Confectionery Association Dalseo Branch.
The bread is characterized by its prehistoric pottery shape and "moon" pattern, and has established itself as a signature local product. The newly launched 2nd Generation Daltogi Bread maintains the original pottery form while further enhancing its taste and appearance.
The recipe was selected through a contest held in November last year and was refined in partnership with the Daegu Confectionery Association Dalseo Branch. In particular, a new "sand cookie" product targeting the MZ generation has been added, actively reflecting the preferences of younger consumers. The new products consist of one type of bread and one type of cookie.
The launch event will run until May 8 at designated sales outlets. Customers who purchase a Daltogi Bread set will receive a mug with the brand logo, and among those who submit a photo of their receipt along with a review, a drawing will be held to award a gift certificate worth 5,000 won.
Lee Taehun, Mayor of Daegu Dalseo District, stated, "With the launch of the 2nd Generation Daltogi Bread, we aim to further solidify our position as Dalseo District's leading bread brand," adding, "We will also contribute to revitalizing the local economy by expanding distribution channels and implementing various promotional strategies."
