During the "Listening Tour" held in Samcheok, Gangwon Province on this day, Lee met with reporters and said, "The most urgent task facing South Korea today is to hold those who have destroyed the Constitution accountable and to restore constitutional order, but it feels like things are moving in the exact opposite direction." He added, "Ultimately, the people will evaluate and judge."
Regarding the possibility of a unified candidacy between Kim Moon Soo and former Prime Minister Han Duck Soo, Lee said, "It was predictable that anti-constitutional and anti-democratic republican forces would join together," and continued, "I hope the people will take a moment to reflect on how they evaluate those who have betrayed the nation."
When asked about calls within the party for the impeachment of Supreme Court Chief Justice Cho Hee Dae and other justices, who led the remand of the election law case, Lee said, "I believe the party will handle the matter in accordance with the will of the people."
