On May 3, Gwangju University announced that the Gwangju Youth Job Station Sangmu Center, operated under commission by the university's Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, hosted 'Cheongjeong Pops (Youth Policy Pop-up Store),' a youth policy promotion event for local youth.
Cheongjeong Pops, which took place on April 30, is a youth participation-based policy promotion event held regularly at the end of every month. This month's event brought together a total of about 60 young people, who enjoyed a special experience that combined hands-on activities and information sharing.
At this event, participants took part in three experience booths designed to reflect the sensibilities of the MZ generation: carnation cake candle making, tarot and beokku, and palm reading and beokku. The youth policy promotion booth provided information on a variety of employment policies, including youth challenge support programs, the National Employment Support System, and the Future Tomorrow Work Experience program. The event also offered opportunities for direct communication with policy managers, which helped increase understanding of and interest in youth policies.
Jo Yougeun, director of the Sangmu Center and professor in the Department of Accounting and Taxation at Gwangju University, stated, "Cheongjeong Pops serves not just as an event, but as a platform that helps young people access employment policies in an easy and approachable way. We hope to see even greater interest and participation from youth in this monthly event."
