Donated 9 Million Won Over Two Years
Consistent Support for Hometown Yecheon by NH Nonghyup Yehyanghoe
On May 2, NH Nonghyup Yehyanghoe announced that it had donated 5 million won to Yecheon County's Hometown Love Donation Program. This donation follows a 4 million won contribution last year, bringing the total amount donated to 9 million won.
NH Nonghyup Yehyanghoe is an association of people from Yecheon who currently work at the NH Nonghyup headquarters, and it has consistently shown interest in and support for its hometown, Yecheon.
The 35 members of Yehyanghoe voluntarily participated in the donation activities to support the development of Yecheon County and the improvement of residents' welfare.
The donation ceremony was attended by Lee Wanjin, Director at NH Nonghyup Life Insurance; Park Byungwoo, Director at the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation; Kim Yoonsu, Team Leader; Kim Kyungtae, Team Leader at Nonghyup Bank; Jung Myunghwan, Head of the Yecheon County Branch of Nonghyup; and Jung Jaeman, Director, among other officials.
Lee Wanjin, President of Yehyanghoe, stated, "I participated in this donation with love and gratitude for my hometown, Yecheon," and added, "We will continue to provide unwavering support for the development and welfare improvement of Yecheon County."
Kim Hakdong, Governor of Yecheon County, expressed his gratitude, saying, "I deeply appreciate NH Nonghyup Yehyanghoe's commitment to the Hometown Love initiative. The donated funds will be used meaningfully to enhance welfare and promote the development of Yecheon County."
Meanwhile, the Hometown Love Donation Program is a system that allows individuals to donate up to 5 million won per year to a local government other than their place of residence. Donors receive tax deductions as well as local specialty products and other gifts in return.
Yecheon County plans to foster sustainable regional development through ongoing cooperation with corporate and individual donors.
