Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency Holds 'Best Investigative Police Officer' Award Ceremony

To Strengthen Investigative Capabilities and Boost Police Morale in the Province
Awards Presented to Outstanding Police Stations and Officers

On May 1, the Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency held the 'Best Investigative Police Officer' award ceremony at Geunmaru (auditorium) of the agency.


The purpose of this ceremony was to boost the pride and morale of police officers working in investigative departments throughout the province, and it also served as an opportunity to strengthen investigative capabilities.

At the award ceremony, Pohang Nambu Police Station, Gumi Police Station, Sangju Police Station, and Uljin Police Station were selected as outstanding stations and received plaques of recognition. In addition, 14 individuals recognized as members of the Best Investigation Team, Detective Team, Forensic Science Team, and Security Team were also awarded commendations for their contributions.


In particular, the Investigation Team 1 from Gimcheon Police Station, which was selected as the Best Investigation Team, arrested a fraud suspect who deceived 39 victims by promising compensation for personal information leaks and defrauded them of a total of approximately 2.88 billion won.


Additionally, Detective Team 5 from Gumi Police Station, which was selected as the Best Detective Team, arrested a thief who broke into jewelry stores nationwide and stole valuables, making a significant contribution to public safety in the province.


At the ceremony, Oh Bumyoung, Commissioner of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency, said, "I am always grateful to the investigators who faithfully fulfill their duties," and urged them to "continue to do their best to ensure the safety of the residents."


The Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency plans to continue holding award ceremonies every quarter to recognize investigative police officers who have worked hard for the public in various fields.
