This program included a variety of activities such as an awards ceremony for outstanding youth, birthday celebrations, and a cooking experience with partners. In particular, through the cooking activity and group games, participants had the opportunity to naturally develop creativity, emotional intelligence, and teamwork.
One of the participating students shared, "I became closer to my friends while cooking together, and I felt very proud to be recognized for what I did well."
Seo Okja, Director of the Mungyeong City Department of Women and Youth, stated, "It was a valuable time for the youth to cooperate with one another, build friendships, and experience the joy of personal growth. We will continue to offer a variety of programs where young people can take the lead."
Meanwhile, the Mungyeong City Youth After-School Academy "Juhul Kkumteo" provides a range of customized programs throughout the year, including supplementary academic learning, experiential activities, transportation and meal support, family experiences, and camps, with support from the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, the Lottery Commission, and Mungyeong City.
The academy has a capacity of 40 students and is currently accepting applications for 2025 on a first-come, first-served basis from 4th to 6th grade elementary school students.
