'Youth Single Sweet Healing Day' Successfully Held
to Address Low Birth Rates and Regional Depopulation
Gumi Urban Corporation and Gumi City Family Center have taken proactive steps to address the issues of low birth rates and regional depopulation.
On April 29, the two organizations hosted the 'Youth Single Sweet Healing Day' program for unmarried male and female employees of Gumi City, providing an opportunity for healthy interactions and communication among single staff members.
This event was designed to offer networking opportunities to unmarried employees of the corporation and related local organizations, who often lack chances to meet due to their busy work schedules. It also aimed to encourage social interest and practical efforts to promote a healthy marriage and family culture.
A total of 10 pairs of unmarried men and women participated in the event, engaging in various activities such as communication exercises, teamwork programs, and romantic mission games, which allowed them to get to know each other better. By the end of the event, seven couples had formed.
Do Geunhee, Director of the Gumi City Family Center, stated, "I hope this event serves not as a one-time occasion, but as an opportunity to foster genuine relationships and spread the value of healthy families."
Lee Jaewoong, CEO of Gumi Urban Corporation, said, "Employee satisfaction was very high," and added, "Next year, we plan to expand the program to a two-day, one-night schedule. Through such initiatives, we hope to not only improve the work-life balance of our single employees but also contribute to the sustainability of the local community."
