This year's festival, held under the theme "Hello? Jeongok!", will run for four days until May 5. It offers visitors a unique historical and cultural experience through a variety of programs that allow them to directly experience the life of Paleolithic people.

From the very first day, the festival grounds were crowded with visitors from all over the country, enjoying the clear weather. The opening ceremony was followed by hands-on programs, performances, and exhibitions, filling the venue with excitement.

In particular, the international academic seminar held on the same day drew significant attention as a stepping stone for the "2029 Yeoncheon World Paleolithic Expo."

The seminar featured in-depth discussions on several topics: examples of utilizing overseas cultural heritage, directions for the development of the Yeoncheon Paleolithic Festival, strategies for attracting the Expo, and suggestions for UNESCO World Heritage inscription. Both domestic and international experts highly praised the historical value and global potential of the Jeongok-ri site in Yeoncheon, highlighting its prospects for growth into an international event.

This year's festival offers a wide range of hands-on programs for the whole family, including the World Paleolithic Experience, Paleolithic Barbecue, Jeongokrian Costume Studio, and Character Collage. In particular, the "World Paleolithic Experience Zone," which features participation from countries with strong prehistoric cultures such as France, Germany, Japan, and Taiwan, is receiving a great response for allowing visitors to experience various aspects of primitive life firsthand.

On the evening of the final day, May 5, the "2029 Expo Proclamation Ceremony" and a drone fireworks show will be held, promising an unforgettable experience for visitors.

Admission fees are 7,000 won for adults and 3,000 won for children. When using local currency, adults receive a 5,000 won rebate and children receive a 3,000 won rebate. Tickets can be purchased in advance via Ticketlink and Naver Reservation, or on-site. Yeoncheon residents, those aged 65 or older, people with disabilities, and infants under 36 months accompanied by a guardian are eligible for free admission.

Kim Deokhyeon, Governor of Yeoncheon County, stated, "This year's Paleolithic Festival marks a new beginning as an international event that seeks solidarity with global Paleolithic cultures, going beyond a simple cultural tourism festival. I hope many people will experience the value of the Jeongok-ri site firsthand and join us in envisioning the future of Yeoncheon."

Temporary parking lots are available around the festival venue, and a free shuttle bus operates between Jeongok Station and the festival site.
