Legal Commemoration of Industrial Accident Workers' Day and Memorial Week
Six Entries, Including Grand Prize, Receive President's Award and Total Prize Money of 5 Million Won
The Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service held an award ceremony for a short-form video contest introducing industrial accident insurance in an easy and entertaining way on the 2nd at its Seoul Southern Branch.
This contest, under the theme "Understanding Industrial Accident Insurance," was held from March 4 to March 31. Marking the first year since Industrial Accident Workers' Day was designated as a legal commemorative day, the contest aimed to raise public awareness of industrial accident insurance through public participation and to discover related promotional content.
The organization selected a total of six winning entries through evaluation by internal and external experts: one Grand Prize, two Excellence Prizes, and three Encouragement Prizes. The judging criteria included creativity, promotional effectiveness, and overall quality. A total of 5 million won in prize money was awarded to the winners.
The Grand Prize went to "My Name is Industrial Accident Insurance," which introduced industrial accident insurance in the form of a lively song. The Excellence Prizes were awarded to "Help Me with Industrial Accident Insurance," in which an elementary school student introduces the insurance for their working parents, and "My Happiness Partner," which depicts a foreign worker returning to society after an accident through the support of industrial accident insurance. The winning entries will be released through the organization’s official online channels.
Park Jonggil, President of the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service, said, "I would like to thank everyone who showed interest in the contest," and added, "We will continue to work on improving the system so that everyone can better understand industrial accident insurance and feel secure at work."
