The city will recruit 77 people for this project. Eligible applicants must be Ansan residents who are at least 18 years old and able to work as of the project start date, have a household income at or below 70% of the median income standard, and own assets worth less than 400 million won. Both Korean nationals and foreigners with a foreigner registration number are eligible to apply.

However, individuals who fall under the following categories are excluded: recipients of livelihood benefits under the National Basic Living Security Act; spouses or children of public officials; and those who have repeatedly participated in the same type of government-funded job project as of the application start date.

Applicants should visit the community service center of their registered residence during the application period, bringing their ID and personal as well as household members' seals.

Selected participants will work for about four months, from July 7 to October 24. The working hours are 20 hours per week (for those under 65 years old). Those who work for a full month will receive a wage of around 1 million won, including weekly and monthly paid leave allowances and snack expenses.

For more information, refer to the "Notices and Announcements" section on the Ansan City Hall website or contact the Labor and Employment Division at City Hall.

Do Wonjung, Director of the Planning and Economy Office of Ansan City, said, "In these difficult times caused by the economic downturn, we will strive to help citizens become self-reliant by providing stable public sector jobs."
