- Joeunbyunghwa and KB Insurance Collaborate to Support Children's Emotional Well-being in the Local Community
- Psychological and Emotional Support and Economic-Financial Education Provided to 500 Children at Uijeongbu Local Children's Centers
The non-profit organization Joeunbyunghwa (Chairman Hong Minki) announced on May 2 that, in celebration of Children's Day, it held a "Maeumtuntun KIT" delivery ceremony and conducted art therapy and economic-financial education programs for 500 children from local children's centers in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi Province, in collaboration with KB Insurance (CEO Koo Bonwook).
The delivery ceremony took place on May 1 at the Keulnamu Local Children's Center in Uijeongbu, with the attendance of Hwang Inseok, head of the KB Stars volleyball team, and Kwon Kyungmi, president of the Uijeongbu Local Children's Center Association, who helped to mark the occasion.
The "Maeumtuntun KIT" is an eco-friendly kit made by recycling unused insurance policy booklets from KB Insurance. It is designed to help children express their emotions and find emotional stability through art therapy content. The "Maeumtuntun KIT" support project is designated and funded by KB Insurance and supported by the Community Chest of Korea, with Joeunbyunghwa operating the program for the fourth consecutive year.
During this event, in addition to the kit delivery, children participated directly in art therapy activities. The KB Insurance Pro Bono Volunteer Group also provided economic and financial education tailored to the children's level of understanding.
Kwon Kyungmi, president of the association who participated in the program, said, "I am deeply grateful to Joeunbyunghwa and KB Insurance for delivering such a much-needed emotional gift to the children ahead of Children's Day. The Maeumtuntun KIT was more than just a kit; it became a special time for the children to look inside themselves and experience healing."
Hong Minki, chairman of Joeunbyunghwa, stated, "This support project is a meaningful activity that cares for children's hearts and lays the foundation for their growth. We will continue to do our best to fill the gaps in children's emotional well-being and care by cooperating with businesses and the local community."
Meanwhile, Joeunbyunghwa continues to pursue sustainable social contribution activities in collaboration with various companies and organizations under the mission of "practicing proper sharing for positive change." Recently, the organization has focused on a meal support campaign for children at risk of missing meals, providing regular meal kits and practical support to help children in crisis grow up healthy and safe.
